The IACC recently conducted a training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program in New York for the New York City Police Department. This program provides authorities throughout the country with the tools to act strategically in the detection and seizure of counterfeit goods.

Training was held at the Best Western Times Square Hotel and provided an opportunity for over 160 law enforcement officers from the five boroughs of New Yorkto view up to date information on product lines and known counterfeits of the 55 brands in attendance.Rights-holders provided individualized instruction to strengthen efforts and increase ability to deter sales of counterfeit products.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the NYPD for their assistance in organizing this event and for their ongoing support.

We would also like to thank Jim Ricaurte of Allegiance Protection for his presentation on IP Investigations and for his assistance in coordinating this event.
