Summary of U.S. Training in Goshen, NY

The IACC, in coordination with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office recently conducted a training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program in Goshen, New York for local police, state troopers, and prosecutors.

This training provided 50 law enforcement officers the latest information on the product lines of 25 brands. Rights-holders provided individualized instruction on the most up to date methods of identifying counterfeit products. Additionally, a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course entitled The Prosecution of Trademark Counterfeiting Offenses in New York was presented to 30 Orange County Assistant District Attorneys by Martin Feinberg. 

We would like to extend our appreciation to David Hoovler, the Orange County District Attorney, for his support and participation in the program as well as the Orange County Emergency Management Department for the use of their Emergency Operations Center facility.

As a reminder, our next training events will be held in; Houston, TX on April 17, Dallas, TX on April 18, Mesa, AZ on April 19, and Seattle, WA on May 15, 2018.
