Summary of U.S. Training in Melville, NY
IACC U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Summary
Melville, New York
September 14, 2017
The IACC recently conducted a successful training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program in Melville, New York that attracted about 100 attendees from Nassau and Suffolk County on Long Island.
This training provided the attendees the latest information and instruction on the product lines of 35 global brands. Brand experts were on hand explaining how to identify fakes and several brands provided in depth analysis of health and safety issues during the presentation portion of the agenda.
The IACC would like to extend our appreciation to the Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas and to the Acting Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder for their presentations and consistent support. Case studies on recent investigations, seizures, forfeitures, arrests and prosecutions rounded out the program.
A special thanks to Jim Ricaurte and his team from Allegiance Protection Group for their assistance and support in making this a rewarding event.
The event is part of the IACC’s U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program that provides authorities throughout the country with valuable insights drawn from our member brands. This year, we anticipate 3,000 law enforcement professionals will have participated in 24 training events, enabling them to act strategically in the detention, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods.
As a reminder, the next few U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training events will be held in; Los Angeles on October 17, 2017, San Francisco on November 1, 2017 and New York City on November 8, 2017. For more information about our U.S. Trainings, click here.
