June 11-12, 2024

IACC Law Enforcement Training Summary

San Juan, Puerto Rico
St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands

June 11-12, 2024

The IACC recently conducted training in the Caribbean under our Law Enforcement IP Training Program. The first training was conducted at the port of San Juan in the historic Customs House. The second training event was held at the St. Thomas airport. Our program provides authorities throughout the country with the information and tools to act strategically in the detection and seizure of counterfeit goods.

Training was held for 55 law enforcement officers who participated in both events featuring interactive trade fair exhibits. These included CBP officers, Import Specialists, Fines and Penalties Officers, Entry Specialists and HSI agents.

Representatives from 37 brands shared their expertise with hands-on product identification and individualized instruction, designed to assist in product authentication and identify counterfeit’s.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the officials at CBP San Juan and St. Thomas for their assistance in organizing this event that serves to strengthen enforcement activities and interdict violators. The IACC is a strong supporter of law enforcement.
