Summary of U.S. Training in New York City
New York City
November 8, 2017
The IACC recently conducted our annual training event with the New York City Police Department in downtown Manhattan, attracting over 130 officers engaged in IP crime enforcement.
This training provided police officers and supervisory personnel with the latest information and instruction from brand experts on identifying fakes as well as health and safety issues. There were 40 global rights holders participating in the trade fair formatted event, many of whom commented on the enthusiasm and interest of the attendees.
The IACC would like to extend our appreciation to the New York City Police Department for their response to this event and their ongoing consistent support to enforcing Intellectual Property laws.
A special thanks to Jim Ricaurte and his team from Allegiance Protection Group for their assistance in making this such a successful event.
The event is part of the IACC’s U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program that provides authorities throughout the country with valuable insights drawn from our member brands. This year, we anticipate 3,000 law enforcement professionals will have participated in 24 training events, enabling them to act strategically in the detection, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods.
As a reminder, the remaining U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training events of the year will be held in Miami on December 13 and Tampa on December 14. Please click on the respective links to register for each training. For more information about our U.S. trainings, click here
